Sunday

Another beautiful day in Providence.  It was more like summer than fall.  I will take some more of this.

I went to the Botanical Garden  at the Roger Williams Park with my sister.  The Botanical contest is coming to a close and I didn't have a lot to show for it so we snapped a few pictures.

This is my best butterfly shot without a macro lens

More Wax

I am still working with wax.  I plan on working with it until I run out of wax or panels, which ever comes first.  I am making 12 x 12's for the many holiday shows that are rapidly approaching  but here is a 6 x 6.  It is on a wood panel so I am deciding if it should be framed.

I almost gave upon it but then some gold pan pastels did the trick.  It is has a nice gold shine to it.

New Work

I wanted to make a quick post before I got behind in my blogging again.  We are having a members' opening tonight at the studio and this is one of the pieces.  I found the house part while in Maine this sumer and of course I couldn't resist adding to it.

What happened to summer?  I can't believe it is over.  September is one of those months that go by really fast and the next thing you know the heat is on and the winter coats come out.  Not looking forward to that.

Lots of things on the calendar:  shows in Attleboro, Wickford, South County and open studios in Pawtucket.  I am still working on my small works for South Shore Art Center and I have three out of four.  I am still working with cold wax.  Per their instructions, all are 12 x 12 and 1 1/2 inches deep
