Trash to Treasure

I am a big fan of the treasure hunt.  I walk to Panera whenever I can and I always take the same route.  Along this route, I can find rusty treasure almost every day.  My collection is growing and some times I just need that right piece.  It appeared the other day when one of my studio mates found a metal hoop in the parking lot.  I was immediately inspired and here is the start:

So Long Summer

Hard to believe the summer is over.  Between working and struggling with a canvas, I have been very lax about posting.  Here is what I have been working on:

This is a 24 x 36 which is big for me.  It started looking like a map and then I decided to add more white.  The red circles were an after thought but I think it was needed.  This will go into the Attleboro art auction.

A Trip to the Zoo
